My name is Beth and I’m a home-owner / DIY’er.  Oh yeah, and I do IT project management to pay the bills, but that’s another story.  I have no formal contractor or construction training, but I love building things with my hands and playing with power tools.  I also am very intellectually curious.  Between my desire to learn, my love of power tools & my passion for building things, I’m hoping i can turn my moderately neglected home into something that will stay standing another 100 years.  This blog will track the progress I make while attempting to achieve that lofty goal.
